Sales Account Representative – Insurance & Financial Services
State Farm Agency | Tempe, AZ | Full-Time
Compensation: Base Salary + Uncapped Commissions

Are you ambitious, outgoing, and motivated by results? Do you enjoy talking with people, solving problems, and turning conversations into opportunities? Are you looking for a career where your effort, skill, and performance can directly influence your income and advancement?

We're looking for a driven Sales Account Representative who wants more than just a job.

Join a fast-paced insurance and financial services team where you'll receive training and coaching, develop valuable professional sales skills, and help customers protect what they have today, prepare for the unexpected, and build toward a stronger financial future.

Make a Difference While Building a Career

Many people procrastinate on insurance and financial decisions, focus primarily on price, or don't fully understand the risks they face. A great insurance professional changes that.

You'll learn to ask the right questions, uncover needs and potential gaps, and explain solutions customers can understand. The goal isn't simply to sell a product—it's to help people make informed decisions while building lasting relationships and a successful career.

What You'll Do

This is an active sales position where you'll develop opportunities, follow up consistently, recommend solutions, and close business.

  • Develop provided leads and create new opportunities through outbound calls, referrals, follow-up, networking, and agency marketing
  • Talk with prospects and customers to identify insurance and financial services needs
  • Uncover risks, coverage gaps, and financial priorities
  • Schedule appointments, present solutions, overcome objections, and confidently ask for the sale
  • Market appropriate State Farm Insurance and Financial Services products based on customer needs and goals
  • Build relationships that generate additional business and referrals
  • Follow a structured sales process and maintain consistent prospecting and follow-up
  • Work toward individual and agency goals and take ownership of your results
You May Be a Great Fit If You Are

  • Results-driven and ambitious: You enjoy setting goals, measuring progress, and winning
  • Comfortable selling: You're willing to prospect, handle objections, and ask for business
  • Motivated by performance: You want your results to influence your earning potential
  • People-oriented: You enjoy building relationships and helping customers
  • Accountable and persistent: You take ownership of your activity and results
  • Coachable: You welcome training, feedback, and opportunities to improve
  • A strong communicator: You listen well and make complex information easier to understand
  • High in character: Honesty, reliability, hard work, and doing what's right for the customer are non-negotiable
Licensing & Experience

An Arizona Property & Casualty and Life & Health insurance license will be required. Candidates who aren't currently licensed may apply if they're willing and able to complete the licensing process.

Previous sales or insurance experience is valuable, but potential, work ethic, and coachability matter too. What matters most is your willingness to learn, sell, serve customers, and be accountable for results.

For someone ambitious and willing to put in the work, this role can provide a strong foundation for a long-term career in insurance, sales, and financial services.

If you're looking for a position where success is measured primarily by showing up, this probably isn't the right opportunity.

If you want to be coached, challenged, rewarded for performance, and develop into a highly skilled insurance and financial services professional, we'd like to hear from you.

Protect what customers have today. Help them prepare for tomorrow. Help them build toward the future they want.

Compensation: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
